Abbott Welding Supply is an independently owned business that has been in Olean, NY for over 100 years.  Starting as a company that made lath machines, slab slashers and shingle machinery it then moved into machining and vehicle maintenance.  The need for oxygen and acetylene became apparent and the company started to sell these products and more to area companies. 

            In 1972 Joe Higgins purchased the company after working for Linde, Praxair for many years and grew the business to the first class, full service distributorship that it is today.  Currently Joe is in semi-retirement and his son, Mike is looking forward to serving your welding supply needs.  Our capabilities include Supplying area company requirements for gases (industrial, medical and specialty gases, from small cylinders to bulk tanks, from argon to xenon), welding supplies, abrasive products, automation, industrial supplies and safety supplies.
