Oxygen
Oxygen (O2) makes up 21 percent of the earth's atmosphere, supports life and makes combustion possible. Colorless, odorless and tasteless and a specific gravity of 1.105 making it slightly heavier than air.
Although oxygen itself is nonflammable, it enhances combustion and enables all materials that are flammable in air to burn much more vigorously.
Oxygen is commonly used to enhance combustion in the cutting operations, welding gases, supplemental medical oxygen, chemical processes, metal production, refining, waste water treatment and many more.
