A band saw uses a blade consisting of a continuous band of metal with teeth along one edge. The band rides on two wheels rotating in the same plane. Band sawing produces uniform cutting action as a result of an evenly distributed tooth load.

Acetylene
Acetylene Gas (C2H2) – a colorless, flammable gas with a garlic-like odor. Acetylene has the highest flame temperature of any common fuel gas because of its triple-bond structure H-C=C-H. Combustion with oxygen achieves a flame temperature of 5,580° F (3,087° C), releasing 1,470 BTUs per cubic foot.
Acetylene's high flame temperature allow it to be used for welding, cutting, brazing and soldering.
